Single herb punnet. This perennial aromatic herb grows stems up to 60cm tall with thin lanceolate dark-green leaves with a grey shimmer, 3mm wide and up to 5cm long, at regular intervals and at different angles along the stem. It has many medicinal uses including in the treatment of diarrhoea, nausea, indigestion and malaria. Being of the marigold family it has insecticidal properties and is therefore a useful companion plant. Said to repel nematodes, some slugs and possibly couch grass and the whole plant is said to repel some weevils. The whole plant can be dried and burnt to repel insects. A yellow dye is made form flowers.
