$5.00
Tagetes lemmonii, also known as Mexican marigold, is a hardy, evergreen shrub that can be grown in a variety of settings.
Grows best in well-draining, moderately fertile, loamy soil with a pH of 6.6–8.5. It can tolerate poor soil conditions, but root rot can occur if the soil doesn’t drain well. Likes full sun. Dies back in frost.
Seeds . Approximately 50.
These can be tricky to germinate, and unlike other marigolds have a longer germination time, so don’t give up and throw the tray out. Batch tested in Nov 2024 to be ~70 % germination within 8 weeks.
