Spreading perennial, spreads by tubers, perfect to plant around fruit trees. Ground cover, frost hardy and tolerant of full sun through to quite deep shade. Spread on rhizomes. Although frost hardy it does dye back in winter and reappears in spring. Used medicinally for bruises and strains. Toxicity if taken internally.
