Elegant stems of Lupin-like flowers with bluish green foliage that bloom from late spring to early summer. Ornamental black seed pods give its alternate name of Rattlebush. Hardy, drought resistant and long-lived. Useful cut flower and border plant. Produces a blue dye and grows better than True indigo for the NZ climate.
