Balm of Gilead (also false balm of Gilead), a perennial growing to 1.5m. Beautiful plant with highly attractive scent. We infuse the leaves in tallow for naturally scented tallow balm. Has skin care benefits and possibly acts as an insect repelent.
Prefers moist well-drained soil in semi-shade or full sun.

The leaves are used in a tea named The de Canaries
